No surprise we lost. Lambert has had the measure of Rodgers on most occasions they've met whilst at Villa/Liverpool and Rodgers seems incapable of learning from his mistakes, particularly at the back. Still as hopeless as ever defensively.

I'd love Moyes. Van Gaal's terrible start reinforces the fact that he was doomed at United taking over from Fergie with that squad. If they had gone out and got Di Maria and Falcao for him things could've been different.

Pardew has to go. The worst defending I've seen since, well, the last time Southampton demolished us at St. Mary's last season. Depressing that Taylor is the only other centre back while Yanga-Mbiwa is off at Roma.

Newcastle were terrible at the tail end of last season as well so to be fair, he actually deserves to go, which is a rarity these days.

Pardew did well to get them where they were at one point but seemed to have no idea how to take them forward from there and it devolved into "buy all the French players!".

They probably should have done a Southampton and sacked him when the going was good and brought in someone with more ability.

The ins and outs aren't the problem, it's the tactical ineptitude and lack of motivation from his players that should see him go.
