The Cena comparison is apt.  Always comes back against seemingly impossible odds because the NFL wants a story to build around and they know that people will tune in to watch the Pats, whether to root for them or root against them.  No team is a bigger draw for the league.

Within a few years, it's going to come out that everything from Deflategate and on was laid out in a multi-year story arc.
