That's probably a blessing in disguise for Green Bay since they can sign him to a longer deal with a lower cap hit this season. Though I've heard they're very far apart on numbers, these things have a tendency to get cleaned up quickly in mid-March.

Atlanta and left tackle Jake Matthews have agreed to terms on a three-year extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The extension includes $52.5 million in Matthews' first three years and carries an average annual value of $18.5 million while also clearing some immediate cap space for the Falcons, per Rapoport.

Alex Cappa is possibly a very good signing for the Bengals. He's measurably improved every year in the league and is entering the stage of his career where, as a guard, he should be playing his very best football.

Christian Kirk is gonna sign a 4 year deal with the Jags.

Lol what a stupid amount of money for Kirk. A player whose production you could easily find for significantly less. Jags going to blow all their cap freedom during Lawrence's rookie deal on horrendous signings apparently.

I'm disappointed to lose Chase Edmonds, but not Kirk. That is an awful lot of money to give a guy who was basically #3 last season in our WR group.

Cards have re-signed Ertz, Conner and Colt McCoy today also.

For comparison, Braxton Berrios who is really comparable to Kirk on a per reception basis but plays for the terrible Jets offense got $12 million over 2 years.

Evan Engram intends to sign a fully guaranteed 1 year, $9 million deal with the Jags.  He dropped the pen when they handed it to him to sign.

The Los Angeles Chargers are signing Pro Bowl cornerback J.C. Jackson to a five-year, $82.5 million deal, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday. The contract includes $28 million in the first year and $40 million over the first two, Rapoport added. Jackson will get $40 million guaranteed, per NFL Network's Mike Giardi.
