Technically wouldn't he be right? If the club's communication was better then it wouldn't have been leaked, and once it got leaked there was no way he'd have been able to keep that a secret. You don't just sit on scoops that you know are 100% true.

Either way, no announcement yet from United, which means all we know is 1. LVG arrived at the ground this morning and 2. The BBC has either been saving LVG sacked material for months or they just write very very quickly.

Honestly the decline of the BBC over the past few years has been atrocious, I thought BBC News had dropped by a fair margin but BBC Sport seems to have fallen off a cliff completely.

At this rate I wouldn't miss it if became privatised.

Sky are reporting that Ryan Giggs will not be kept on as assistant manager (instead that'll be Rui Faria), but Mourinho is keen to offer him a revised role.

I would be surprised if Giggs stays, and if he does, I doubt it'll be for long. If he wants to be a manager, he'll need to go elsewhere. I can't see United handing it straight to him, post Mourinho. And yes, I'm thinking that far ahead already, because football.

About 3 years he was at Chelsea the first time.  Before that he was at Barcelona as assistant head coach for about 4 years underneath Robson then van Gaal.
