Good win from us but yet again it took conceding a goal for us to really get going. Really is turning into a bad habit. 3 points is all that matters though.

Anderson changed the entire game. Fact is that if we continue to rotate in the middle and defence like we are every single game, we'll continue to suffer. Stick with a regular partnership for most games with the odd bit of rotating here and there. Why we still refuse to play Anderson/Cleverley on a regular basis I'll never know. Once Ando came on today the entire game changed and we dominated and took the tempo to a different level.

Great to see Hernandez with another goal too, he's having a brilliant season.

Hernandez is a proper super-sub, can't do it from the start, but loves a goal from the bench!

I'm not sure what Cleverley has done wrong, been quality the majority of games this season yet hasn't been getting a good run in the starting eleven. Ando is very hit-and-miss, but when he plays like he did today then he's very hard to deal with. I'd much rather see two of Carrick/Cleverley/Ando midfield with Rooney dropping in than keep putting Giggs and to a lesser extent Scholes in there. Those two should be coming off the bench these days rather than starting, Scholes can usually get away with it but some silly little errors have popped up in his last few games.

Unconfirmed reports that Martin O'Neil has offered his resignation to the Sunderland board...

That's from Stan Collymore's Twitter, so take it as you will.

One of Anderson and Cleverley should always be starting. Ando is by far our most positive midfielder and seeing him come on and actually run with the ball gave us so many more options today. Really, we should be putting out our most attacking front six against teams like Norwich and QPR. Giggs/Carrick and Scholes/Fletcher were too static when trying to break down the defence and offered too little in stopping the opposition midfield just walk past them. We have plenty of liveliness up front, on the wings and coming from the full back positions so it'd be nice if the midfield matched it!

Was rebuffed as fake almost immediately by several sources. Even Michael Gray was chirping off apparently about it and Talksport seemed to think it was all but official, but no truth in whatsoever seems to be the consensus view.

Genuinely worried about the Spurs/West Ham game today. Really, really need a win but we've still got players out and things aren't quite going the right way. Really, really don't want to see Gallas start - but I think Carroll's gonna cause some serious problems in the air.
