HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans, after initially insisting they would not trade Deshaun Watson, shifted their stance on the quarterback's trade availability earlier this offseason and have been willing to field offers from interested teams, sources confirmed to ESPN.

The Texans already have had preliminary discussions with other teams about Watson, who reported to training camp Sunday, but don't feel they have received a serious offer, according to sources.

Although the talks have not reached a significant stage as of Monday morning, the Texans are willing to trade Watson before the start of the season if they find the right match, according to sources.

The Texans' price for Watson has been a combination of five high draft picks and starting-caliber players, two league executives told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Although Watson reported to training camp Sunday morning, he made it clear to those in the building that his desire to be traded had not changed, a source said. Had Watson not reported to camp, he would have been fined $50,000 per day.

Watson's personal QB coach, Quincy Avery, told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Friday that he expected Watson to be traded soon after reporting to camp.

This comes after an offseason during which Watson first asked to be traded in January after the team hired Nick Caserio as their general manager. Less than two months later, the first of 23 civil lawsuits was filed against Watson. The now-22 active lawsuits allege sexual assault and inappropriate behavior against the Texans quarterback.

The Texans' first training camp practice is Monday at 10 a.m. ET.

All-Pro pass-rusher Chandler Jones requested a trade from the Arizona Cardinals this offseason, sources told ESPN.

Jones has been unhappy with his contract and missed offseason work as a result.

The Cardinals don't want to trade Jones and expect him to report to training camp, which begins Tuesday. Jones, 31, plans to have a big year coming off surgery on his right biceps, and the Cardinals believe he's excited to play alongside new acquisition J.J. Watt despite past unhappiness. A source said Jones is viewed as a "great guy" in the organization and is set to be a pivotal part of the Cardinals' defense this year. The team generally does not publicly discuss contract details regarding its players.

It's possible Jones plays out the year in Arizona and hits free agency in 2022. But that might not quell the discord.

Jones, due $15.5 million in the final year of his deal, emerged as one of the game's best pass-rushers while recording 49 sacks from 2017 to '19. The biceps injury limited him to five games a year ago.

The Cardinals have dished out significant money to other players, including a $28 million deal for Watt this offseason. The Cardinals also agreed to extensions last year for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, making him the game's highest-paid receiver despite having multiple years left on his original deal, and safety Budda Baker, who earned one of the richest contract extensions for his position.

The Cardinals acquired Jones via trade with the New England Patriots in 2016.

I mean I hope they go 0-17 or whatever anyway, but how many losses will it take for the fanbase to completely turn on him and blame the fact that he wasn't around most of the offseason?

The easy money is still on Brady waltzing right back to yet another Super Bowl but at least this makes the NFC a little more interesting.

NFC will have some intrigue between Seattle, LA, a healthy SF, and Green Bay with the band back together. Saints are big maybe given the QB switch but have Super Bowl potential. There's also the unlikely but plausible scenario of Deshaun Watson on a team.

I think there's a 4th division in the NFC too.

I mean, if I were forced to lay money down on that joke of a division it would easily be Dallas.  Not that they aren't without issues but if Dak doesn't get hurt they probably cakewalk to a playoff spot last year.

I love Fitzmagic but Washington doesn't really look like it did anything to improve.  Haven't seen enough of Jalen Hurts to know if he can carry Philly.  I've said openly that I love a lot of what the Giants did this offseason, it would seem to be impossible for Jones to not improve given all the weapons that were added, but they cut their only reliable offensive lineman in Zeitler and are putting a lot of faith in this young line improving, if they don't it could derail the entire offense.
