Such an incredibly weird situation in GB. A ton of concessions for a guy who has set it up to be able to leave after this season.

They're insane to be agreeing to a void a year of his contract to keep him happy.  Just trade him.  You aren't going to get any better value later on, and it seems pretty obvious he's just planning to leave so you'll end up with nothing.

The guy in the comments saying "both guys are actually running at max speed" made me almost spit out my water.

Benjamin did a phone interview addressing his release, claiming he feels like it was all a sham and the Giants had it out for him from the beginning.  He weighed 265 lbs at mini camp and was told to get down to 251 by training camp, instead he showed up at 268.  The team threatened to fine him for being overweight and Benjamin thought it was bullshit to expect him to be a smaller tight end than when he played receiver.

Goes on to say he doesn’t plan on pursuing any further NFL opportunities.  Also calls Joe Judge a know it all who swears too much and will never win a Super Bowl.

Never should have traded him to begin with.

Apparently its a 6th round pick for Cobb, and the Texans are paying $3m of his $8.25m guarantee.

This season is shaping up to be a disaster. League absolutely should have made vaccines back in April, most people when told they have to do something to keep making millions of dollars will do such thing.
