2022–23 NBA season

My heart goes out to the ESPN commentary team, who spent the entire game cheering on the Lakers, and sounded so sad when they lost. Special shout-out to them saying how much "adversity" the Lakers had to overcome this season, when that adversity was nothing more than them being shit for 3/4s of the regular season.

I'm hoping for a sweep because the media fawning over the Lakers is beyond tiresome at this point.

They do deserve a ton of credit for turning the sinking ship back around, really smart trade deadline moves that played to the squad's strengths. But the "best record since the trade deadline" story is over a very small sample size.

Denver's about as well built a team as you'll see and there's no single player who adds as much to a team as Jokic does. We're past the days of LeBron or Jordan being the undisputed best player in the NBA, too much talent everywhere. But Jokic at least lays claim to the undisputed best big man in the league.

I cannot believe the Heat are going to the finals. WTF

They're honestly the most dogged team in the NBA and they've shown it by basically running the gauntlet of contenders in the east and being on the cusp of blowing out the Celtics to go into the finals.

Butler is honestly on another level when the playoffs roll around, might be one of the best playoff players ever.

My brain is saying that they will get stomped by Denver in the Finals. Number 8 seed against number 1 seed? Easy, number one seed wins. But, Miami obviously isn't a normal number 8 seed. And it would make me, a Jazz fan, happy to see Denver finally make the Finals, only to lose to a number 8 seed.
