Not his signings, it seems. He was primarily looking at the Spanish market whilst Jenkins wanted domestic based players, and signed Emnes/N'gog over Laudrup's head.

More like why he wasn't allowed full control over transfers. Crazy decision four days before a derby. Isn't the first time Laudrup has parted ways because of a bad relationship with the directors because of transfers, also happened at Mallorca, Getafe and Brøndby.

Sounds like a complete clusterfuck. Apparently Laudrup's agent was essentially acting as a Director of Football, trying to sign and offload players without the board's consent, so the board responded by making a couple of ridiculous signings in N'Gog and Emnes (Laudrup admitted he basically knew nothing of Emnes).
