That was pleasantly refreshing today. Clearly first day of the season and both teams were rusty, but we looked so happy in possession, Mbemba and Wijnaldum really help that. Still horribly vulnerable to crosses though, can't win headers, can't close down wingers, Krul can't control his box. Needs to worked on and quickly.

Desperately need a LB too.

Good result for Liverpool but my god what a poor game. Looked like two very even sides if I'm honest. Just separated by Coutinho being much better than anyone else on the pitch.

Regardless of the performance, Liverpool have to be happy with that. A win away at the league's most feared side is good to get out of the way.
