What a performance. I've mentioned before that we struggle second half as that press leaves the team knackered, but they were somehow still doing it til the final whistle. Almiron is playing out of his skin, and we've still got ASM and Isak to get fit. A decent January window (which is what, 3 games away?) and there's no reason why we shouldn't be looking at Europe next season, potentially even without.

Still top of the league but you can see the legs are starting to go. I think there's still a great team there but it's clearly getting tough to keep the momentum going. Not going to even mention the shocking refereeing, we should have had enough quality to push through.

I'd expect a LOT of pragmatic, defense first football with Emery at Villa. He was very much a defend and counter manager at Villarreal. Still think it's an amazing hire for Villa and it'll do them very well.
