I thought it would be one of those typical survivor pool things where everyone picks against the paper worst team and then weird week 1 shit happens and everyone gets a strike.  And it nearly did.  Alas, I don't think the Vikings are all that great and figured this would be the "safe" week to use them and WELP.  At least it's double elimination so I have something of a mulligan but yeesh.

And despite what looked to be a solid roster of Josh Allen, JaMarr Chase, DJ Moore, Joe Mixon, Kenneth Walker, and Raheem Mostert - I'm already going to be guillotined if Josh Allen fails to get 9 fantasy points tonight.  And against a tough Jets D in bad weather, it's not out of the realm of possibility.  We've already had multiple QBs have the worst fantasy day of their careers this week.

It's not been a fun week 1.

So the sportsbooks often do bets that are meant to basically be giving away free money for new users to try to suck them in.

One of the books gave new users +100 odds if Rodgers threw over 0.5 yards.  Literally you get free money unless the 1 in a million thing happens.

I’m sure there was a max bet limit on it but holy fuck I can’t imagine those bettors when Rodgers left without throwing a single yard.

Rodgers’ X-Rays supposedly came back negative but who knows how long he’ll be out.  The MRI will show a much more significant injury like an Achilles or a high ankle sprain.

Jets early schedule, much like the Giants, is really bad.  If he’s out 4-6 weeks they might still be buried by then.
