Supposedly there was once a deal in place that would have sent Jim Harbaugh to the Browns for draft picks.

I...don't quite know how to feel about this. They obviously would have ended up with quite a haul of picks but I can't think of many coaches I'd rather have so I'm not sure it would be worth it.

To be fair, that video looks a lot more like him trying to get his drunk fiance to wake up than it does anything else.

Well I mean it kind of lends a lot more credence to the eyewitness reports that say he knocked her out, and the police summons that says the same. Rice's camp is the only one saying it was "minor altercation" between the two of them, all of the eyewitness reports I've read/seen/heard of so far say he uppercut her.

Theres gotta be more footage of what happened. Nothing happens in a casino without someone seeing it

Harbaugh's from Ohio and perhaps grew up a Browns fan so I guess it makes sense from that perspective. I know it makes zero sense, but if the Browns offered the #4 pick(potentially Clowney?) and some additional picks as well it's believable they would've listened to an Cleveland's offer.

Oh I don't doubt that they listened, especially since there's been talk that Harbaugh wants to get paid like a Super Bowl winning coach but I think it would have been a very poor move.

Not really. Unless some weird shit comes out of this, Rice is probably going to be suspended a game or two at the most (and I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't get suspended at all) since he doesn't have a history of bad behavior. Domestic issues rarely lead to any meaningful punishment in the NFL.

And while he may have sucked last year, he was too good in previous years to mean the true end of his starting tenure.

Yeah Rice will get a league suspension that probably cancels out the team suspension that will get applied. He'll be the top back coming into the year. His character and reputation took a huge hit but I don't think any team would be parting ways with him after this. Just the unfortunate nature of the league.

I wouldn't be so sure on that. Bortles seems to be the most Bill O'Brien type prospect of the bunch. Rams probably aren't taking a QB and will probably trade the pick to a Clowney-coveting team. Unless the Browns move ahead to the second spot there's a good chance he's there.
