Yeah, France and Australia each won with relative ease today.

Not that it matters, because I expect us to cruise to a third straight title. USA! USA! USA! 

Oh yeah, The only time American hasn't won the aptly named American Football World Championship is '99' 03  when they decided that they weren't even going to bother and Japan won.

Ken Stabler has passed away, at age 69, according to his ex-wife.

Obviously, despite my advanced age in EWB years, I never actually got to see The Snake play, outside of archive footage. However, I've heard the stories, from my dad, from Stabler's own autobiography, which I read in middle school, and around. He was the only man that could have QB'd that Raiders team, the teams that earned Oakland their reputation as swaggering outlaw badasses. He drank, then he'd come in the next day and throw touchdowns. On the list of great Raiders' QBs, unless you really, really believe that Jim Plunkett's pair of Super Bowl titles means more than the decade that Stabler put together, there is no one above him. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, but the fact that Ken Stabler is not in the Hall of Fame is laughable. RIP.

I'll say two games.  It's going down, but Goodell still needs to save face against the rest of the league.

I'd be ok with three, cause hell - Jimmy G could probably handle the Jaguars with little problem.

Wasn't Hardy suspended all of last season? Or on the exempt list, which is essentially the same thing.

Yeah that also plays into why it got reduced.  He's already essentially served a suspension for a large portion of a season for this crime.
