I think DMN was being sarcastic, since Texas claimed to be back last year after beating Georgia in the Sugar, only to go 8-5 this year.

This has been a fun Rose Bowl so far. Looks like it’s going to go down to the wire.

Texas had claimed they're back every year since Colt McCoy left. They belong with Tennessee, USC, Miami, and Nebraska in the 'this is the year we're BACK!' club.

Sadly, I agree with this. The Vols are showing signs, but they are definitely not back yet.

Not happy at all with the Vols' performance in the Gator Bowl. Yes, they won, but it was a fourth quarter comeback with a one-point win, after they gave up 2 TDs (one a pick six run) quick earlier. Their run defense is still garbage. No excuse for letting Indiana's QB run for as many yards as he did. Its like they tried to give the game away.

But they won. This team last year would’ve lost. And this team two years ago wouldn’t have even made the bowl game. Indiana wasn’t a pushover chump school this year. Appreciate the comeback and ride the momentum into the offseason.

The problem is that their run defense has been horrible for years, even prior to Butch Jones (but got worse under him), and the coaching staff doesn't seem to care about doing anything to fix it. That, and their red zone offense is trash.

You can thank ESPN and their need to own 99% of the bowl game coverages on that one.

It used to be "The Most Wonderful Week of the Year"! ESPN even marketed it as that.

I guess it's cool for the smaller schools to have their game be the only game that night, but how many people were really tuning in on Monday night to see Louisiana and Miami-OH?
