Miami are the team of destiny

I am so excited. The crash and burn if they lose will send me into a deep depression. But right now everything is infinity.

Everything's coming up Florida. The Lightning are playing for the Stanley Cup. The Heat might go to the Finals. The Rays might be the AL's best team. Tom Brady. And of course Inter Miami.

Bolded for emphasis. The second best of the bunch behind the Heat.

Also the Lakers went from 37-45 with LeBron in 18/19 to 52-19 with LeBron and AD in 19/20, so you have to give a lot of the credit to the Lakers rise to Davis.

Giannis on the other pretty much carries the Bucks. Anyone like Middleton, Lopez etc. who have improved in the last two seasons have done so mainly because teams are only concentrating on stopping Giannis.

Lebron missed a bunch of games last season with the groin injury, then when he came back there were a bunch more injuries. The record would have been much better if he played his normal amount of games, were the 4th seed in a competitive second/third tier of the Western Conference, and probably make the playoffs, maybe the second round if the match-ups were good.

That's not to argue Lebron should be MVP this year, more so an argument that he's the biggest driver behind the Lakers turn around. AD and Frank Vogel being the other big two, of course.

To be fair, the Lakers last season was a set up like rubbish. Much better built team this season.

There's also this, the roster was completely different in terms of major contributors, since Lonzo and BI went out (along with Josh Hart), leading to the rise of guys like Caruso, plus the resurgence of Dwight. Yeah, guys like Javale and Kuz were still around, but the departures of Lonzo and Ingram specifically called for a big change in the team.

I'd still put it mostly down to Lebron, though, because he sets the culture that lets a guy like Vogel come in with his defensive coaching and have it be received, he could easily have tuned that out (not that he's that guy) and then none of this would work.

Really, the way things went last season was best case scenario for the Lakers, imagine this team with Luke Walton as coach...

Crazy how he didn't end up playing in China or somewhere overseas with the capable talent he had in the NBA. I know he was battling some mental issues a few months back but thought he got help with it since. Now it looks like Doc Rivers and others are going to try and help rehabilitate him now, but it's a shame how far he's fallen.
