2020 NFL Off-Season Thread

The NFL plans on releasing its 2020 schedule this week.

It's weird to put out a schedule given the likelihood of having to move things around, but they have the benefit of time.  They don't even have to think about officially delaying or cancelling anything until camps are about to open which is two, two and a half months out.  In the meantime they can just sit back and wait to see what happens with these other leagues that are trying to start up again.

All the London games have been cancelled. Well not cancelled, they're just not being played in London.

It's another massive financial blow to Spurs as well.

My heart goes out to those of you in the U.K. who go to a game or two every year.

I don't think there'll be fans at any of the games anyway and that's if the season goes ahead at all. The London games were certainly never happening this year,

Us missing one year's worth of games is so far down the list of importance; it's not a big deal really. Like TCO said, they were never going to go ahead with them.

The man was head coach for 33 seasons and had two losing records. That’ll never be done again.

Yeah Belichick will presumably pass him for wins at some point and maybe even longevity but he'll never have just 2 losing seasons (Bill had losing records in 5 of his first 6 years as a head coach... And hasn't had any since).

It says a lot to Shula's longevity and dominance, that Belichick might not even match his win totals. He's 43 behind now and the Pats are the most uncertain they've looked in a long time.

I'd still argue for Belichick as the GOAT coach though. He has a higher win % and his playoff record is an absolutely absurd 30-11. 

Looking up coaching records I love that Jeff Fisher's career translates to a 8.16-7.84 or 8-8 rounded record over a 16 game season. The memes are real!

Watch him play four more years and break Emmitt’s record. Really impressive for a guy that had multiple torn ACLs before his college career was even over.

After being waived by Dallas to make room for Andy Dalton, Cooper Rush has been claimed by the Giants.

It's probably just Jason Garrett recommending someone to add to the QB room.  But it amuses me to think Joe Judge is going to Belichick level of preparedness to already bring in a Dallas QB to provide intel because you know god damn well the NFL won't be able to resist making the Giants and Cowboys play in Week 1 again.
