The NFL plans on releasing its 2020 schedule this week.

It's weird to put out a schedule given the likelihood of having to move things around, but they have the benefit of time.  They don't even have to think about officially delaying or cancelling anything until camps are about to open which is two, two and a half months out.  In the meantime they can just sit back and wait to see what happens with these other leagues that are trying to start up again.

"Despite this, one of the few times he came close to leaving Miami came in the middle of the 1983 season, when Donald Trump, the new owner of the upstart United States Football League's New Jersey Generals, offered him a $5 million contract–a significant increase from the $400,000 he was earning at the time with the Dolphins. Negotiations hit a snag when Shula insisted on getting a rent-free apartment at Trump Tower. When Trump publicly announced the deal was all but done except for the apartment agreement, Shula broke off talks and stayed in Miami."

It says a lot to Shula's longevity and dominance, that Belichick might not even match his win totals. He's 43 behind now and the Pats are the most uncertain they've looked in a long time.

I'd still argue for Belichick as the GOAT coach though. He has a higher win % and his playoff record is an absolutely absurd 30-11.

Looking up coaching records I love that Jeff Fisher's career translates to a 8.16-7.84 or 8-8 rounded record over a 16 game season. The memes are real!

Frank Gore returns for a 16th NFL season, signs with the Jets.

So Patriots next year?  He seems to enjoy the AFC East

After being waived by Dallas to make room for Andy Dalton, Cooper Rush has been claimed by the Giants.

It's probably just Jason Garrett recommending someone to add to the QB room.  But it amuses me to think Joe Judge is going to Belichick level of preparedness to already bring in a Dallas QB to provide intel because you know god damn well the NFL won't be able to resist making the Giants and Cowboys play in Week 1 again.
