Knicks allegedly offered better compensation too. Maybe it came down to Utah getting a proven player in Sexton on top of the picks. Maybe it has to do with the details of the pick swaps? Picks should theoretically be about equal in value between both teams.

Honestly keeping their flexibility might work out for NY but basically treating Grimes that way after holding onto Shumpert like he was the greatest trade chip in history is maddening. Their fans are justifiably mad.
