That was just an opinion of a doctor who hasn't examined him or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the outcome but that's not official yet.

Thought I read somewhere that Tommy John surgery will see him miss six months. So back for training camp.

No that would be the repair option, a full Tommy John reconstruction would keep him out a year plus.

Recovery time for a QB isn't as lengthy as it is for a pitcher.

Jake Delhomme had Tommy John performed in October and was back for spring OTAs, for example

Everyone knew that this was Higgins' last season with the team. They're going to have to give Burrow a ton and Chase will get whatever Justin Jefferson gets this offseason + a few million. Leaves no room to keep Higgins.

Mixon will be gone too obviously, saves them a ton to cut him.
