What's that Dallas? A bullshit call gone against you? Gee, can't imagine how that feels.

Do we need to recount the massive amount of missed penalties on both sides last week?

There's a huge difference, the Lions still had ample time to win the game and failed. This call just ended the game, that shouldn't happen to any team.

"If a player goes to the ground in the act of catching a pass (with or without contact with an opponent), he must maintain control of the ball after he touches the ground, whether in the field of play or the end zone. If he loses control of the ball, and the ball touches the ground before he regains control, the pass is incomplete. If he regains control prior to the ball touching the ground, the pass is complete."

The ball come loose, didn't it?

No, I just enjoy my bitter irony :)

The ball clearly moved when it hit the ground, that is why it was called.

Upon hitting the ground, Dez had control of the ball. It came loose on the slide. Anybody can plainly see that.

Any movement whatsoever if the ball hits the ground makes it not 'in control'. On the replay, the ball initially moves upon the immediate impact with the ground. If the ball had not moved at all - ie Dez had it in a vice like grip or some such - then it is fine.

The rule is a bit naff (ground can't cause a fumble... but can cause an incomplete catch etc) but it is the rule.

This fucking team finally starts defying expectation and stops making stupid mistakes to cost themselves games, and then we get fucked over by bullshit like this. It's always fucking something.
