Nick Marshall (former Auburn QB) made the Jags 53 as a UDFA cornerback! Good on him.

Following in the proud footsteps of Bortles and Gabbert.

Erm, ok. Bortles will be better than Winston this season, I guarantee it.

While Mick's comment is typical Mick, to be fair, Bortles should be better, he has more NFL experience.

Hayne made it, great now our media will never shut the fuck up

GREATEST PLAYER IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT - Australian media. >_>

I would send Plubby a message of commisserations but then I remembered his vendetta against Joe Flacco...

He's lumping Bortles with Gabbert. If Bortles is another Gabbert then he'll show no signs of improvement.

Fair enough, there's no reason to compare the two at this point in their careers. I'm not sold on Bortles, but he deserves a fair chance to prove himself.

To be fair at least Hayne is playing at a prominent position and actually considers himself Australian, for years the only player the British media had to cheer for was Lawrence Tynes Osi Umenyiora because he was born in Scotland London.

;)

The NFL has a few British players now though, I think Menelik Watson is the best of them and he's actually British - born and raised in Manchester and moved to the US to play the game.

Weeden is a big-arm, lower-accuracy right-handed QB who is almost as old as Romo, won fewer than 50 games in college and has played in actual NFL action.

Kellen Moore is the actual opposite of that.

What similarities do they even have? They both...went to college?!
