As far as I could tell, the official release came out last night (midnight for the Brits).

That would explain the sudden appearance of of the 1710 folder in the DB files then. Lovely.

A folder that comes with each update and has stuff like the lnc/edt files and things that makes the German team all grey players and such.

Loaded up FM14 the other day, last one I bought before I gave up on FM (for now). Went through the ball ache of finding graphics, player packs and badges so it looks "proper" and then picked Sunderland. Then I remembered this was Sunderland pre Johnson Trial so switched it off and haven't bothered again.

I can't get anything out of my strikers in terms of both goals and actually having chances....Basically the midfield and defence will create and score the chances whereas my strikers are basically just on the pitch to make up the numbers.

Having the same issue - but just with Benzema. Doesn't matter how I play him, role, striker partners, on his own, withdrawn. Everyone else scores. He does not.

Try signing Heskey. He was 3 in 3 until he got injured.

It's just so arbitrary, it doesn't even make any sense half the time. Messi could score 10 in one game and there'd be one going "Can we all get off the Messi bandwagon now please?" 

Like, if you're going to add it as a purely cosmetic feature, then at least make it work contextually rather than having it fixed to a set formula of essentially "YES!" x3 and then a standard "Nah, shit" one.

It will work contextually. In FM 2018.
