I only saw the ChampLge/Europa graphics but I imagine that's covered too. A proper Premier League license would be great.

They can't do that. It'll be a dark day for the modding community when the game comes with the logos out of the box!

Tbh that's what turns me off the PS5 edition. I can't play without proper logo's and if previous console editions are anything to go by, you can't import them to the game. If that kind of stuff got worked out it'd be a day 1 purchase for me.

Presumably PS5 will have mouse support. I was using a USB one whilst playing on Xbox Series S. Maybe there's a way to get bluetooth mice to work, it didn't work out of the box and I never looked into it further. Still, it's a perfectly cromulent version of FM and potentially might be even better this year now they've got a few years under their belt? I'll certainly give it another bash since I still have Gamepass. Curious though that they still list regular old Xbox One but for Sony it's PS5 only. I would have thought they'd be able to scale it up or down whether you were on PS4 or 5, I guess the Sony hardware doesn't work quite the same.

UEFA licencing is neat too, would be amusing if the in game sounds had the CL anthem play.

Time to go into this release cycle hoping they'll change/add the things I want to add, get frustrated they don't add/change the things I wanted them to, and then still buy it anyways like the mark I am.

TBF, no is paying the full RRP surely? Granted it's not going to be in the 20's that it's been in the last few years or even sub 20 as I remember getting it for in the mid 00's, but the influencer pre order codes are gonna get you under £35.

Not ideal to have it creep up, especially in this climate, but you can't complain on a money spent to hours played ratio.

EDIT: This is PC centric, console don't have the luxury of the discounts but then again you have game pass if you're that way inclined or Arcade if you're on Apple devices.

Thankfully I get a free copy with being an assistant researcher but that's not a bad deal. Interested as always to see the new features this year. I was trying for one beta save and one main game save this time, started a Word document back at the turn of the year to remind me when FM23 comes out... it's changed 17 times so far 😂

That doesn't mean a lot to me when they're so easily modded in, but I suppose it's good for the perceived "legitimacy" of the game.

Same, and it will of course help the un-moddable console editions.

But mods of some kind on PS/Xbox would be fantastic if they're able to do it.

I was going to say the proportion of people doing graphics packs etc is probably small in the overall userbase but I suppose FM is already a bit of a niche, nerdlinger type thing so it that ties with the kinda person who would mod it.

But especially with the addition of another console version, more licences is going to help with over the casual type players who might take one look at it and forget it if it doesn't have all the proper badges, kits etc that they're used to from FIFA.

Well, until I'm no longer on a computer that is powered by a hamster running on a wheel, that'd be me.

They'll have to offer a lot of features to get me to migrate from my FM16 game.

I haven't felt the urge to buy a new game in years.
