This free agency period is just showing what an absolutely horrible time we're in for Quarterbacks at the moment. The fact that Mike Glennon is a highly prized free agent just doesn't compute with my mind.

Uh yeah no kidding.

Ok Stafford you win, here is truck full money. Luckily Bob Quinn seems very keen on rebuilding our oline. TJ Lang is here for a visit, if his hip checks out and we land him, our oline might just be ready to go.

Texans traded Osweiler and their 2nd round pick to the Browns just to get his contract off the books

Considering how ugly their QB situation was last year, they should consider at least hanging onto him. If you're going to pay him $16m either way, let him compete for a roster spot and wait for RG3 to hurt himself again.

Nevermind! The Ravens are keeping Brandon Williams. All things being what they were last year plus the addition of Jefferson means our run defense is going to be scary good. Obviously a big part of it is facing LeVeon Bell twice a year. Not so sure about our pass defense though.

And god almighty the Ravens need to find a WR.

  • The Los Angeles Rams are sending defensive end William Hayes to the Miami Dolphins. In a trade announced late Thursday night, Los Angeles said the Dolphins have agreed to send their sixth-round pick (No. 206) in exchange for Hayes and the Rams' seventh-round pick (No. 223). That's the guy who doesn't believe in dinosaurs...
  • Free-agent quarterback Matt Barkley is headed to the San Francisco 49ers, he tweeted Thursday night. Barkley adds to the 49ers' already sizable free-agent class, which includes quarterback Brian Hoyer. Barkley and Hoyer were teammates with the Chicago Bears last season. The 49ers also agreed to a deal with wide receiver Aldrick Robinson on Thursday night, a league source told ESPN's Nick Wagoner, giving San Francisco three new receivers on the opening day of free agency. The team announced earlier in the day that it had agreed to contract terms with receiver Pierre Garcon on a five-year deal, receiver Marquise Goodwin on a two-year deal, Hoyer on a two-year deal, fullback Kyle Juszczyk on a four-year deal, tight end Logan Paulsen on a one-year deal, linebacker Malcolm Smith on a five-year deal and kicker Robbie Gould on a two-year deal.
  • Former New England Patriots cornerback Logan Ryan has agreed to a deal with the Tennessee Titans, his agents say. The three-year deal is worth $30 million, according to multiple reports.
  • The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a one-year, $8 million deal with Luke Joeckel in a move to strengthen their offensive line, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
  • Former Detroit Lions guard Larry Warford is signing with the New Orleans Saints, while defensive tackle Nick Fairley is re-signing with the team, sources told ESPN's Josina Anderson.
  • Former Jaguars safety Johnathan Cyprien will sign a deal with Tennessee Titans, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
  • The Dolphins have signed tight end Anthony Fasano, bringing him back for another run with the team. Fasano's contract with Miami, where he played from 2008 to 2012, is for one year, $3 million with incentives, a source told ESPN's James Walker.
  • Washington will sign free agent defensive lineman Terrell McClain to a four-year deal when the free agency begins at 4 p.m. ET, a source confirmed to ESPN's John Keim. The Redskins also have signed safety D.J. Swearinger, a source told Keim. They lost defensive tackle Chris Baker in free agency to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. McClain can play multiple spots along the front, having done so in Dallas.

And finally...

REGINA, Saskatchewan -- Vince Young has signed with the Canadian Football League's Saskatchewan Roughriders.

The 33-year-old former Texas and NFL quarterback agreed Thursday to a two-year deal -- one year, plus an option. He last played in an NFL regular-season game in 2011 with Philadelphia and retired in 2014 after being released by Cleveland.

"I wouldn't say a comeback. I'd just say an opportunity," Young said. "I always wanted to play football again, but didn't know how it was going to happen. God always works in mysterious ways."

And Barkley's just going to be the 3rd QB and/or camp body.

Even Barkley was mediocre at worst.

Yeah, I think Barkley is there to be the main back-up and they'll draft a 'project' QB.

  • The Indianapolis Colts have signed outside linebacker John Simon to a three-year deal, a league source told ESPN's Field Yates. Simon played the past three seasons with the Houston Texans.
  • The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms on a one-year deal worth up to $5.25 million with former Oakland Raiders cornerback D.J. Hayden, sources told ESPN's Adam Caplan.

That's what working for Dan Snyder will do to ya.

Apparently the Washington Post published a 1000+ word story sourced to an anonymous executive that portrayed him as a disruptive drunk, and a couple of anonymous WaPo employees have voiced their displeasure at it. For what it's worth, despite this anon executive saying things like McCloughlan showed up to work drunk, several players have spoken under condition of anonymity refuting those claims and saying he was never a problem.

It's tough because he does have the history of it so it wouldn't exactly be shocking to learn he relapsed but at the same time, if they're using his history as a way of smearing his name by lying or exaggerating the truth, that's some straight up bullshit (though not surprising from Dan Snyder).

That said, there have been reports of him being the one to make the decision to stay away from the facility the past couple of months so there may be something to it. If so, I just hope he gets the help he needs because he is good at his job.
