I don't know if this will really impact chelsea too much this season?

But if they continue to be under sanctions into next then i guess anyone whose out of contract in the summer will be gone and next season they'd be playing in an empty stadium?

Id assume this would also mean no new kits or sponsorship? Maybe not being able to collect prize money if they win a trophy?

Edit:

So Chelsea pretty much can't do anything if they are under sanctions still this summer, but Chelsea also can't be sold if they are under sanctions? So... how in the hell do they get out of this? Just hope UK removes the sanctions from Roman eventually?

Apparently if Roman sells the club and won't get any of the money from the sale then this can all be cleaned up.

Really putting that "best interests of the club" statement to the test.

This really should be one of those "put the clubs in the hands of the fans" situations, yeah, the fans won't be able to maintain them at the financial level they're at, but it's the best interest for everyone - The charity seemed to not be able to do it, but I'm sure there's some supporters trusts that could take it on? I dunno, just spitballing.

The more chaos there is around Chelsea, the more likely they are to win the Champions League. It has always been this way.

What a lovely set of results tonight.

I know Newcastle have picked up plenty of points so far in 2022 but didn't realise just how impressive it was.

20 points (6 wins/2 draws) and the only team with more is us with 22 points.

Which in itself shows the turn around considering you've got 31 points in total.

Danny Murphy and the BT Sport gang have had to keep it quiet as they'd have to admit Steve Bruce was useless. The footnote is we haven't really played a "big" side, but these are all games we would (and did) lose in the first half of the season. Of course there have been signings, but Bruno hadn't started til yesterday, Trippier has missed the last few, and Wood, Burn and Targett on loan were hardly unrealistic signings had we made them under Ashley, and he's still been without ASM and Wilson for a good chunk. The improvement in Shelvey, Schar and especially Joelinton is insane.

Yeah, there was 10 points in the first 20+ games of the season.

Tuchel: "As long as we have a fixture and as long as we have enough shirts and as long as the bus is full of fuel we will be there"

What a surreal thing to hear about a Premier League team.

"Team selection news for the FA Cup game at Middlesbrough: Most players are available after hitch-hiking their way up the A1. Kepa is still in London due to being unable to catch (a lift). Werner overshot the mark and is currently in Durham."

Luckily for them, they can rely on West Brom's meteoric rise through the Championship to underpin their points...
