Love JJ for calling a spade a spade here.

He's not calling anything anything. He's asking a pretty vague question that does not actually call out anybody.

Do the draft picks that the Ravens get if Jackson signs elsewhere come from the team that signs him or do they just magically appear at like the end of Round 1?

The team that signs him.

It would be the number 2 pick it Houston signs him, number 3 if Indy, and so forth. The QB needy teams with cap space are generally high up on the draft board this year and would be very reluctant to lose that pick when, if things work out, they get a young QB almost as good on a rookie deal.

Jets, to my knowledge, are the one team that would happily part with their pick for a QB and they're restructuring deals left and right. Rumors are it's for Rodgers, who would have a lower cap hit this year then Jackson on a fully guaranteed deal would. But the Jets must do something and if Rodgers falls through I wouldn't be shocked if they immediately pivot. Jackson can start meeting with teams next Monday; assuming he wants to actually have meetings as enough has leaked out at this point where it's clear he doesn't want to sit in long contract discussions with front offices.

You also have to think teams don't want to do Eric DeCosta's work for him and negotiate a deal that the Ravens plan to match. It's very much like the Cousins situation with Washington 7 years ago. They'd rather wait until the Ravens must trade him instead of tag him again and land a QB at a reduced trade value as a result.

Per Dianna Russini, Jets brass is under the impression that the Rodgers move is close to a done deal.

I know the circumstances between Favre and Rodgers' departures are different but it's still wild that the same two teams are involved in a trade of future HOF QBs again.

Loved Chuck Clark and he kept his starting job all year, but by the end it was more than apparent Kyle Hamilton was the superior player. Would've been nice to have had both of them, with Hamilton just playing all over the place, but that's a luxury you only get to have for one season usually.

Mike Florio continues to push the narrative that Brady would come out of retirement (again) if the Niners called.  That he'd be unable to resist playing for his childhood team especially given them being a legitimate contender.

So in other words - all of our fingers should be crossed that Brock makes a speedy recovery and looks great slinging the ball around in a few months.  Save us Brock!
