Being reported that Mason has a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain. Horrible.

Here's hoping he pulls through.

Just seen that on the news. Hope he is okay.

:(

Hope it's not as bad as some places are reporting without any credible source.

Hull released a statement.

The Club can confirm that Ryan Mason sustained a skull fracture in our fixture at Chelsea this afternoon.

He was taken to St Mary’s Hospital where he has undergone surgery.

Ryan is in a stable condition and is expected to remain in hospital for the next few days.

Everyone at the Club would like to express their sincere thanks for the excellent and swift care given to Ryan by both the Accident and Emergency department and Neurosurgery Unit at St Mary’s Hospital.

A further update will be issued tomorrow.

Interestingly there's reportedly no release clause either, so if he's getting sold it's on our terms. Good business in what has been an awful January for us.

What's been so bad about it? Great business though with new contract.

To be fair they've lost a couple of games, and as a result, their hopes of catching Chelsea have all but slipped away.

We've only lost once in the league.

We've just so happened to have played shite against Plymouth twice in the cup, a loss in a first leg against Southampton in which we have another chance to get to the final, drew to Sunderland and drew against an in form Man United at Old Trafford. We've not won a league game in 2017 but there's only been 3.

Tbf no one would have expected us to be in a title challenge start of the season, most Liverpool fans were expecting us to push for top 4. The fact that whilst Chelsea were on their 13 game winning streak we weren't too far behind them show's how well we've performed during the first half of the season.

If we beat Chelsea next in the league (which I think we will) and Arsenal beat them and we beat Hull that 10 point gap turns to 4. That's entirely possible.

The title race isn't over by a long shot....the fact Spurs are one point ahead of us and Arsenal are two ahead of us yet they are being classed as still in a title race and we aren't is laughable. It only takes one good set of results one weekend and we could overtake both of them.

You can't rule us out when there's still 16 games left to play. If we keep playing shite however and the gap increases within the next 5/6 games then yeh I'd say our title chances are dead and buried but at the minute we've still got an outside chance but it's still a hence nonetheless

To be fair I haven't seen anyone writing Liverpool out of the title race. Many in the media are still carrying on like Man Utd are still in the race, nevermind Liverpool. Cymbols only said what he did to make a thinly-veiled slip joke anyway.
