Jason Campbell is gone too. That leaves the Browns with Brian Hoyer and Alex Tanney. Even with a QB in the draft, I wouldn't be shocked to see us pick someone else up in FA

The word is that he's progressing ahead of schedule from his injury and is certainly in contention to start next year, which is great news

Only reason Gabbert warranted a pick is because he's still only 24 while Brandon Weeden is 6 years older and has been in the league one year less.

Weeden is done, having Gabbert sit and learn under Harbaugh could turn him into something.

It's very likely that Weeden is out of the NFL as a 1st round pick before his 3rd season...he's got to go down as one of the worst 1st rounders in NFL history.

Cards signed Veldheer, pretty happy with that. O-Line is a problem area and Veldheer added to a returning Cooper is good news.
