Just got into the new year, which I think is the first time I've managed to do that in my first saved game on an FM.

I'm not getting the best out of Sturridge and Suarez but I keep winning, so I guess I'll keep things as they are for now. Kind of weird when managers keep singling out my sub goalie as my weak link, though.

How do you set a Target man and playmaker? Or have.they dropped that?

You just select the playmaker option during the Team Selection screen on the pitch. They dropped the whole Playmaker/Targetman etc thing from FM13.

I don't think I've ever really used the playmaker thing. Every time I made someone my playmaker he'd have an awful game.

Ditto, I was playing as Leicester and looked at the FFP - at the start I'm well on estimated target for 2.5m spending, 0.5m inside the FFP rules. A month later and with no signings or releases, I check again and I'm estimated at being 6m over FFP by the end of the season. What the fuck.

So they said they're now rolling up all the extra costs in a transfer (agent fee, sign-on fee, etc.) into the total cost incurred in a transfer. And this makes sense when, say, I complete a deal where the actual transfer fee is something like £4.2 million and it says at the bottom "Total cost of transfer = £6.5m". Fine.

But what does not make sense is how removing "total cost of transfer = £6.5m" from a transfer budget of £10m leaves me with a remaining budget of £335k.

Unless the answer is Mike Ashley.
