Meh. He's solid enough, but nothing I would consider more than a depth move. Expect him to try and get stupid money out of the deal for a guy who likely won't be out there for maybe half the plays.

He agreed to a deal, but didn't sign the contract nad backed out when he realized he would be regulated to a back-up role with Murray there.

They reported it yesterday but it's apparently not actually final yet. I would imagine it never will be with Murray seemingly headed there.

Awkward how? RB committees are pretty much the norm now, and Kelly reportedly wants both so there's not really an issue. Given both guys' injury histories, it's better for them anyway.

Nothing is final yet. It all depends on how the Murray visit goes.

It's awkward because Ryan Mathews, I'm sure, was offered a starting position in a prominent role and now with Murray coming in, that changes. Not to mention that it's pretty much a race to get paid and I'm sure the Eagles don't exactly have the funds to meet the demands of both starting caliber runners.

They may be the norm but that doesn't mean that the RBs actually want to be apart of them. Especially for Mathews, who is bound to have interest elsewhere with a potentially larger role.

Mortensen is reporting 5 years, 42 million, 21 million guaranteed for Murray. That's a lot of dinero.
